Delete your PhoneTea account & data
You can permanently delete your PhoneTea account and the personal data associated with it at any time. Choose whichever method is easiest — all three reach the same deletion process.
Option 1 — In the PhoneTea app (iOS / Android)
Open PhoneTea and sign in to the account you want to delete.
Go to Profile → Settings → Privacy Settings.
Under Your Rights, tap Delete Account and confirm.
You'll receive a confirmation email once the deletion has been processed.
Option 2 — On the web
Open the data request page in the PhoneTea web app:
Sign in to the account you want to delete (deletion requires signing in so we can verify the request is really yours).
Choose Delete My Data and submit the request.
Option 3 — By email
Email phonetea.app@gmail.com with the subject "Account Deletion Request" from the email address on your PhoneTea account.
We respond to verified requests within 30 days (usually much sooner).
What gets deleted
- Your account and profile — sign-in credentials, username, profile data, and settings.
- Your identity on content — reviews and comments you posted are anonymized (your name and account are removed from them).
- Your personal audio — voicemails and call recordings are hidden immediately and permanently purged within 90 days.
- Your personal preferences — contact whitelist, blocking schedules, and similar personal settings are deleted immediately.
- Your searches and personal data associated with the account.
What is retained, and for how long
- Anonymized community content — reviews remain visible to protect other users, but with no connection to you.
- Payment and transaction records — retained for up to 7 years where required by tax and accounting law. Card details are never stored by PhoneTea (payments are processed by Google Play, Apple, or Stripe).
- Security and abuse-prevention logs — retained up to 90 days (IP logs) or 1 year (security incident logs).
- Legal holds — data we are legally required to keep, for only as long as the law requires.
